Tim Hockey , , , President and CEO

Tim Hockey is a financial services veteran with more than 32 years' experience in retail banking and wealth management and a passion for leveraging technology to enhance the client experience.

As President and CEO of TD Ameritrade, he is primarily responsible for the oversight of the strategy and operations supporting the company’s three client channels: Retail Investing, Trading and Institutional, along with additional responsibilities overseeing technology, operations and corporate functions.

Hockey joined TD Ameritrade in January 2016 from TD Bank Group, where he most recently served as Group Head, Canadian Banking and Wealth management, and as President and CEO of TD Canada Trust. His primary responsibilities covered a portfolio of global businesses totaling nearly CDN $13 billion in annual revenue and included global direct investing, advisory and Canadian asset management businesses, as well as leadership of Canadian personal banking, business banking and auto finance. Over his 32-year career with TD, he held senior positions in a variety of areas including mutual funds, retail distribution, information technology, core and small business, credit cards and personal lending.

Hockey holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario and sits on the Advisory Board of the Richard Ivey School of Business. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the SickKids Foundation, the largest non-governmental granting agency in children’s health in Canada, and was Chair of the Hospital for Sick Children’s Research and Learning Tower Campaign. He is on the board of The Greater Toronto CivicAction Alliance and served as the 2015 Honorary Chair for the Ride to Conquer Cancer.

He was an executive member of the Canadian Bankers Association, previously serving as Chair of the organization. He is also a past winner of Canada’s “Top 40 Under 40,” a program that celebrates Canadians who have reach significant success before the age of 40 in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors.

Denise Karkos , , , Chief Marketing Officer

As chief marketing officer, Denise Karkos is responsible for the overall management of TD Ameritrade’s marketing and advertising to the long-term investor, trader and advisor segments. In this role, she leads segment strategy, brand and advertising, social media and content marketing, marketing analytics, marketing technology and operations, and corporate communications. She serves as a member of the Company's senior operating committee, which shapes the strategic focus of the organization. Karkos has also served as managing director of brand and advertising and managing director of retail segment strategy within the firm.

Prior to joining TD Ameritrade in 2010, Karkos spent four years with TD Bank as the senior vice president of marketing planning. In this role, she managed the retail marketing strategy and helped grow the business organically and through acquisitions.

She had early career experience in media planning and buying with a focus on digital at Initiative Media, Hill Holliday and Digitas. Karkos also drove broader marketing strategies, focusing on advertising, CRM, branding and partnership marketing at L.L.Bean, Outside Television and VIA.

Karkos was elected as a new member of the Ad Council's Board of Directors in 2016. Throughout her career, she has received multiple marketing honors, including a Clio, numerous Webby, ADDY, and Financial Communications Society (FCS) awards. Her more recent accolades include an Advertising Women of New York Changing the Game – Paradigm Shift award in 2015 and a 2016 Cojone’s award, presented to her at South by Southwest.

Karkos received a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Notre Dame.

Vijay Sankaran , , , Chief Information Officer

As Chief Information Officer of TD Ameritrade, Vijay Sankaran is responsible for incubating, introducing and managing new capabilities, as well as for the implementation of the company’s data and analytics ecosystem, including bringing enhanced personalization to the client experience. Sankaran also serves as a member of the Company’s senior operating committee, which shapes the strategic focus of the organization.

Sankaran’s teams are further responsible for two major technology programs at the company: Digital Guidance, which utilizes technology to enhance clients’ access to investment advice, and ongoing innovation for the company’s award-winning trading platform, thinkorswim. He leads TD Ameritrade’s collaborative technology center in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Prior to joining TD Ameritrade, Sankaran held several senior leadership roles at Ford Motor company, including: IT Chief Technology Officer, leading advanced technology, technology strategy, data and analytics, and architecture across the enterprise; Director of Application Development, with responsibility for global application development and the delivery of major programs and projects; and Director of Infrastructure Operations, with responsibility for operational support for infrastructure, as well as Ford’s largest data centers in North America. Before joining Ford, Sankaran served in consultancy roles with Ernst & Young LLP and Headstrong, where he focused heavily on analytical systems.

Sankaran holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Master’s of Business Administration from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.

Skip Schweiss , , , President,
TD Ameritrade Trust Company

Skip Schweiss is responsible for all TD Ameritrade Trust Company (TDATC) functions, including retirement solutions and services for independent registered investment advisors and third-party administrators using TD Ameritrade's trust platform. Skip is also the Managing Director of Advisor Advocacy & Industry Affairs. In this role, he is charged with increasing TDAI's participation and voice in the financial services industry, and identifying key issues of importance to TDAI and their advisor clients.

Prior to this appointment, Schweiss held a variety of management positions within Fiserv Investment Support Services, including serving as Executive Vice President of Fiserv Trust Company, which was acquired by TD Ameritrade Holding Corporation in February, 2008.

Schweiss holds a B.S. in business administration from the University of South Dakota and a M.S. in finance from the University of Colorado. He is completing the Securities Industry Institute sponsored by the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) at the Wharton School of Business. He is currently Series 7 and Series 24 licensed, and is a member of the Financial Planning Association.

Lou Steinberg , , , Chief Technology Officer
TD Ameritrade Holding Corporation

Lou Steinberg is responsible for technology platform architecture, engineering, operations and security in addition to evolving the current operating models, technology and operational risk and fostering a culture of innovation.

Prior to joining the company in 2011, Steinberg was the founder and CEO of Rev2, a Risk Management software company that focuses on operating risk. Previously, he was the CEO of Cranite Systems, which delivered highly secure, layer 2 VPNs. Steinberg also spent several years as CTO of Symbol Technologies (now Motorola), driving a company-wide solutions strategy while also serving as the General Manager of the Software Division.

Steinberg previously served as an entrepreneur-in-residence at Warburg Pincus and as a strategy advisor to senior management at companies including Comcast, Citigroup and NCR. He was the SVP of Marketing and Market Development at Micromuse (now IBM), a network management and analytics company. He joined Micromuse through the acquisition of NetOps Corp, an analysis and fault-prediction company that he founded and led as CEO. He spent over a decade at IBM in various technical and management roles, notably contributing to router development for the NSFNet, a second-generation Internet backbone. He has served on various IETF Working Groups related to network management, including SNMP-1, MIB-1, Ethernet MIB, RMON-1 and Alert Management.

Steinberg is the author of Troubleshooting with SNMP and Understanding MIBs (McGraw-Hill, 2000), as well as numerous articles on technology and infrastructure. He graded from the Stevens Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in engineering and a master’s degree in computer science.

Bradley has nearly three decades of experience in the financial services industry, starting as a financial advisor with Northwestern Mutual Life and RW Baird & Co. He joined TD Waterhouse in 1986 and continued with the firm until it merged with Ameritrade in 2006 to form TD Ameritrade. At TD Waterhouse he was responsible for correspondent clearing and capital markets businesses, and he also launched what is now known as TD Ameritrade Institutional1, supporting independent registered investment advisors (RIAs).

In his most recent role, as president of TD Ameritrade Institutional, he was responsible for all business functions, including independent RIA services segment and corporate services business. Lule Demmissie , , , Managing Director,
Investment Products and Retirement

Lule Demmissie is responsible for strategic development and analysis of investment products and retirement for TD Ameritrade.

Demmissie was most recently with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, working for eight years in their managed money business area. Demmissie designed and launched Morgan Stanley's non-discretionary Advisory product which raised over $12 Billion in assets within its first two years. She also played a key role in the strategic development of Morgan Stanley's other investment product offerings.

Demmissie also has several years of experience with J.P. Morgan and Merrill Lynch, along with a strong background in client services, product development and product management.

Demmissie earned an MBA from Columbia Business School and also holds a CIMA designation from the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA).

Dara Luber , , , Senior Manager,
Retirement

Dara Luber is a Senior Manager of Retirement at TD Ameritrade, where she is responsible for the management and development of retirement strategy and investment services. With nearly 18 years of experience in the financial services industry, Luber has several years of service with Morgan Stanley and Citigroup Asset Management. She earned a B.S. in Marketing Management from the State University of New York at Albany.

David Lynch , , , Managing Director,
Retail Sales

As managing director of Retail Sales, David Lynch and his teams are responsible for gathering and retaining gross and annuitized assets. In this role, Lynch oversees the management of 105 brick-and-mortar branches, 15 national branches, and the Retail Sales Optimization team. Under his leadership, Retail Sales has adopted Lean practices, exceeded targets year-over-year, improved attrition rate, enhanced guidance focus and asset gathering, and revamped rewards, recognition and compensation programs. In addition to his current role, Lynch continues to champion Diversity & Inclusion initiatives in Retail Sales, which includes the creation of the Retail Women’s Networking Group.

Lynch began his extensive career at TD Ameritrade more than 20 years ago in 1993 holding various positions including west division vice president, group vice president for Southern California, sales director, Los Angeles district manager, branch manager, registered options principal and account officer. His early experience at Bear Stearns, Merrill Lynch and Wedbush Morgan helped pave his foundational knowledge of the financial services industry.

Lynch received a bachelor’s degree in business management from Pepperdine University.

Matthew Sadowsky , , , Director,
Retirement and Annuities

Matthew Sadowsky, RICP®, is Director of Retirement and Annuities at TD Ameritrade, where he manages investment products, tools, and services. Sadowsky also serves as President of TD Ameritrade’s insurance agency, overseeing the distribution of third party annuity products.

Prior to joining TD Ameritrade, Sadowsky served as Vice President, Finance in the corporate offices at The BISYS Group, Inc., which provided business process outsourcing to bank, insurance, and investment companies, and later joined Columbus Circle Capital, where he specialized in annuity arbitrage and life insurance premium financing.

Sadowsky graduated cum laude with a dual degree in Philosophy and Entrepreneurial Management from the University of Pennsylvania’s College of Arts and Sciences and Wharton School. He holds FINRA Series 7, 24, and 66 licenses, and he is Life and Health insurance-licensed nationally. Sadowsky is also a Retirement Income Certified Professional (“RICP®”).

With a focus on the future, Nally has championed efforts to attract and support the Next Generation of advisors including launching the TD Ameritrade Institutional NextGen Scholarship and Grant Program and the TD Ameritrade RIA Intern Network.

Prior to being named president, Nally was responsible for TD Ameritrade Institutional Sales. Nally and his team developed new advisor relationships and provided practice management and consultative support to help RIAs achieve their business goals. Over his tenure, he has held multiple management positions in various key segments of the business, including responsibility for trading, fixed income, advisor relations, client service, advisor technology, account services and operations.

Nally graduated from Rider University with a degree in Finance and completed the Securities Industry Institute program at the Wharton School of Business. In 2013, he completed Executive Education coursework at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Nally currently holds Series 7, 8, 24 and 63 licenses.

Peter Dorsey , , , Managing Director,
Institutional Sales

Peter Dorsey oversees all institutional sales functions including advisor recruitment, practice management consulting, relationship management and sales strategy for TD Ameritrade Institutional.

Dorsey previously served as director of sales responsible for the oversight and management of TD Ameritrade Institutional's business development activities within the western region of the United States. He has been working in the institutional field, specifically with independent registered investment advisors, for nearly 15 years. Prior to joining TD Ameritrade in 2005, Dorsey served in similar roles in the banking and brokerage industries.

Dorsey received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from St. Anselm College and a Masters of Business Administration from Pepperdine University's Graziadio School of Business and Management. He holds Series 7, 63 and 24 securities licenses.

Jon Patullo , , , Managing Director,

Jon Patullo is responsible for all advisor-facing technology, products and services for TD Ameritrade Institutional. These responsibilities include oversight of the Veo platform, Advisor Client platform and third-party technology relationships.

Joining the Company in 1996, Jon has been focused on building and supporting technology products and services available to the institutional client base, and was critical in bringing proprietary and third-party tools and information to clients. He has held multiple management positions in customer support, electronic trading, content management and product management.

Patullo graduated from Rider University with a degree in finance and is based in Fort Worth, Texas. He holds Series 7, 9, 10 and 63 securities licenses.

Skip Schweiss , , , President,
TD Ameritrade Trust Company

Skip Schweiss is responsible for all TD Ameritrade Trust Company (TDATC) functions, including retirement solutions and services for independent registered investment advisors and third-party administrators using TD Ameritrade's trust platform. Skip is also the Managing Director of Advisor Advocacy & Industry Affairs. In this role, he is charged with increasing TDAI's participation and voice in the financial services industry, and identifying key issues of importance to TDAI and their advisor clients.

Prior to this appointment, Schweiss held a variety of management positions within Fiserv Investment Support Services, including serving as Executive Vice President of Fiserv Trust Company, which was acquired by TD Ameritrade Holding Corporation in February, 2008.

Schweiss holds a B.S. in business administration from the University of South Dakota and a M.S. in finance from the University of Colorado. He is completing the Securities Industry Institute sponsored by the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) at the Wharton School of Business. He is currently Series 7 and Series 24 licensed, and is a member of the Financial Planning Association.

George Tamer, oversees a team that works to help independent advisors achieve their business goals by helping them implement industry best practices including marketing and business development, workflow processes, and technology usage.

Tamer joined the company in 1996, where he has held various management positions in online product development and client service. George and his team have worked with many advisors to help improve productivity and become more efficient through the use of TD Ameritrade's technology platform.

He graduated with a B.A. in political science from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA. and holds an M.B.A. in marketing from Baruch College's Zicklin School of Business. George is currently completing the Securities Industry Institute program, sponsored by the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association, at the Wharton School of Business.

John Tovar oversees Institutional Brokerage Services, which includes trading, fixed income sales, relationship management, customer services, technology, account services and operations for over 4,000 Independent Registered Investment Advisors that custody assets at TD Ameritrade Institutional.

John joined the Company in 1992, and most recently was responsible for trading and fixed income for the Institutional business. Tovar has held a variety of roles over his 16-year tenure including key management positions in Retail Brokerage Services at Jack White & Company and National Retail Services at TD Waterhouse and ultimately in TD Waterhouse Institutional in 2000.

Tovar is based in Fort Worth, Texas and is currently Series 3, 4, 7, 8, 24, 53, 63 and 65 licensed.
