TD AMERITRADE has acquired thinkorswim

On June 11, 2009 TD AMERITRADE acquired thinkorswim Group Inc. This combination enhances our leadership position in trading, solidifying our #1 market share position in trades per day and creating a new industry leader in the number of options trades placed each day.(1)

But more importantly, this combination enhances our current client offering by adding the technology, tools and services of an online broker recently rated #1 by Barron's, as well as an expansive and innovative investor education program.(2) Combine that with our easy-to-use long-term investing tools and services, a nation-wide branch network and one of the largest networks of independent registered investment advisors, and you have one of the most comprehensive offerings for retail investors, regardless of experience or investment goals, in the market today.

As part of our integration, which we expect to take approximately 18-24 months, we have transitioned some of thinkorswim's investor and media relations materials to www.amtd.com. Links to these materials are included below and will be available for reference until Sept. 30, 2009.

Please contact us if you have any questions.
