Bill Gerber oversees investor relations, certain treasury functions and finance operations, including accounting, business planning and forecasting, external and internal reporting, tax and procurement. He also oversees business development and corporate communications and serves as a member of the Company's senior operating committee (SOC), which shapes the strategic focus of the organization.
Gerber has been with TD AMERITRADE since 1999. He served as managing director of finance, during which time he played a major role in evaluating merger and acquisition opportunities for the Company, including the TD Waterhouse, Datek Online Holdings and NationalDiscountBroker transactions. He served in this capacity until his appointment as chief financial officer in October 2006.
Prior to joining the Company, Gerber spent eight years with Coopers & Lybrand, now known as PriceWaterhouseCoopers, serving as an audit manager primarily focused on public company clients. He received a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Michigan.
