Ellen Koplow is responsible for the overall management of the legal and compliance functions of TD AMERITRADE and its subsidiaries. She also serves as a member of the Company's senior operating committee (SOC), which shapes the strategic focus of the organization.
Koplow joined the Company as deputy general counsel in 1999 and was named acting general counsel in November 2000. She accepted the position of general counsel in June 2001 and was named Corporate Secretary in 2005. Prior to joining the Company, she was managing principal of the Columbia, MD, office of Miles & Stockbridge P.C.
Koplow graduated cum laude from the University of Baltimore School of Law, where she was a member of Heuisler Honor Society, a Scribes Award winner and a comments editor for the Law Review. She received her bachelor's degree in government and politics from the University of Maryland.
